Facebook

It’s hard to believe, but Thanksgiving will be here before you know it. And, if you’re hoping to rely on Boulder County’s many talented chefs for help this year, it’s time to start putting in orders and making reservations.

The sooner you can make your Thanksgiving plans, the better—because some of these eateries fill up fast or have deadlines for to-go orders.

Learn to Cook at “TurkeyU”

First, if you’ve always wanted to try your hand at preparing a full Thanksgiving dinner, but you’ve always felt too intimidated to try, it’s never too late to learn.

Consider attending one of two upcoming “TurkeyU” classes hosted by Backyard Pitmasters Colorado.

Each class lasts three hours and covers everything you need to impress your family—from whole turkeys to gravy to side dishes.

Where to Order Thanksgiving Food

Urban Field — Longmont

Let the team at Longmont’s delicious pizzeria and market do the hard work for you. Urban Field is offering to-go Thanksgiving turkey dinners for $25.95 per person—but you need to order by Nov. 19. You can do so by calling 720-633-8838 or by ordering it from your server the next time you dine at the restaurant.

Each meal includes a half-pound of turkey breast, classic stuffing, garlic mashed potatoes, herb-buttered Brussels sprouts and carrots, cranberry sauce and gravy. Orders will be ready for pickup from 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Nov. 22, the day before Thanksgiving.

The Kitchen — Boulder

The Kitchen lets you build your own Thanksgiving dinner by offering a la carte dishes, from whole turkeys you just need to reheat to savory autumn pot pies for the plant-based folks in your crew. Other delicious options include herb-whipped potatoes, chilled bean melange, braised hominy, roasted Brussel sprouts and, of course, pumpkin pie.

Whatever you decide to feast upon, you’ll be able to pick up your order between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Nov. 22, the day before Thanksgiving.

Or, if you’d rather dine in, you can do that, too. The Kitchen is hosting Thanksgiving for $99.50 for adults and $45.50 for kids 12 and under. You can see the full menu and make a reservation online.

Where to Eat on Thanksgiving

Bramble and Hare — Boulder

Boulder restaurant Bramble and Hare will offer three seatings on Thanksgiving this year: 11 a.m., 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. For $95 per person, you’ll get all of the holiday classics—turkey, mashed potatoes, roasted root vegetables, greens, cranberry sauce and more. (And if you’re vegetarian or you just don’t like turkey, they’ll have other options, including vegetarian entrees, too.) And be sure to save room for dessert, as you’ll get to pick from a “sampler platter” of tasty treats, like pumpkin and pecan pie.

You can make a reservation online—and it’s best to act quickly if you’re interested, as Bramble and Hare seats tend to go fast!

The Greenbriar Inn — Boulder

Thanksgiving is a delicious annual tradition at The Greenbriar Inn. Make a reservation for one of two seatings (either 11:30 a.m. or 6 p.m.) for their Thanksgiving buffet, which is $79 per adult and $38 for kids ages 4-12. They’re still finalizing the buffet menu, but you can expect dishes like roasted pumpkin bisque, mixed green salad, roast turkey, prime rib, butternut squash risotto and other hearty fall fare. There’s even a special dessert buffet loaded down with pies, cakes, tarts and other sweets.

Hotel Boulderado — Boulder

Got family coming into town? Take your pick of three Thanksgiving meal options at the Hotel Boulderado. Enjoy brunch or dinner at Spruce Farm & Fish, grab a bite at The Corner Bar or snag a spot at the mezzanine holiday buffet. You’ll find all the menus, hours and reservation information online.

Jill’s Restaurant and Bistro — Boulder

Put your visiting family members up at St Julien, then meet them at Jill’s for a sumptuous three-course Thanksgiving prix fixe menu. For $99 per person, choose between roasted turkey, pepper-crusted prime rib, salmon or vegan mushroom risotto; also enjoy family-style sides like glazed yams, whipped potatoes and stuffing. Make reservations online.

Boulder Cork — Boulder

Boulder Cork will help you level up your Thanksgiving this year, with upscale options ranging from lobster ravioli and sea scallops to prime rib. Sides include dressing, gravy, mashed potatoes, steamed broccoli and cranberry sauce. You’ll want to make a reservation and, on Thanksgiving, they’re open from noon to 7 p.m.
