OAK’s executive chef John Bissell recently returned from a trip to Norway, where he dined on delicious Scandinavian cuisine. He’s drawing inspiration from his travels for OAK’s New Year’s Eve menu, which features five hygge courses that incorporate traditional Scandinavian flavors, foods and techniques for $85 per person. Marvel at Bissell’s boundless creativity with ingredients like fermented gooseberry, beet juice, celery root, lingonberry and preserved ramps, to name a few.

 

Indulge with dishes like scallop crudo with celery jus and pickled celery, cocoa and rye ravioli with pheasant, and butternut squash dumplings in a smoked mushroom consomme. New Year’s Eve Extravagancia at Corrida

 

Treat yourself to an elegant New Year’s Eve dinner at Corrida, which is offering a five-course tasting menu created by chef Samuel McCandless for $150 per person (an optional wine pair in is an additional $100 per person). After dinner, enjoy an evening of dancing, with tunes provided by Michaela Borth, a Denver-based electric violinist and DJ. Come midnight, Corrida will also be popping the bubbly and offering a complimentary champagne toast to all.

’80s New Year’s Eve at Velvet Elk Lounge

 

Pull your 1980s ski gear out of storage and prepare to party at Velvet Elk Lounge for New Year’s Eve. The bar opens at 5 p.m. and the party starts at 8 p.m. for this apres-ski-themed event featuring live music from The Goonies.
