What to Expect at Boulder Creek Festival 2024

Longer days, al fresco dining, the re-emergence of your neighbors who you haven’t seen in months — these are all signs that summer is just around the corner. The return of Boulder Creek Festival is another, one that we eagerly anticipate year after year.

More than 100,000 attendees are expected at the 35th annual event, which will take place from May 24-27. Enjoy signature programming like live music, a local marketplace and the Creekside Beer Fest, along with a wide variety of food and drink vendors, a new roller rink pop-up and family-friendly programming.

“Boulder Creek Fest has something for everyone,” says Justin Greenstein, events manager for the City of Boulder, who describes the event as “a vibrant showcase of our city’s culture and spirit.”

General admission is free and Creekside Beer Fest tickets are priced at $35 per adult. All attractions will appear along Boulder Creek from 9th Street to 14th Street between Canyon Boulevard and Arapahoe Avenue.

Shop for Goods from 200+ Local Businesses

“This anchor event of the summer showcases the ingenuity and entrepreneurial spirit of the Boulder community,” says Greenstein. And, indeed, this year’s marketplace is extra impressive.

The farmers market-style shopping experience will feature more than 200 local small businesses selling handmade art, household goods, apparel, accessories, self-care products and artisan foods like chocolate, coffee and Colorado honey. Buy a little something for yourself or shop for gifts. Remember, Father’s Day is quickly approaching!

Watch 10 Painters Participate in the Street Wise Art Battle

The Street Wise Art Battle will invite 10 local artists to each paint an Adirondack chair in their personal style. Festival attendees can watch them work on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and then vote for their favorite design. In addition to bragging rights, the top three artists will receive cash prizes.

The completed chairs will be available for purchase via an online auction, and proceeds will benefit the nonprofit Street Wise Arts. Any unsold pieces will be displayed in Boulder throughout the year.
