Savor Productions and Travel Boulder are teaming up to launch The Inside Dish, a new newsletter series highlighting the restaurants, dishes and people that make Boulder’s dining scene so distinctive.
Rather than another list of the city’s “best” restaurants, The Inside Dish takes a more personal approach, offering an insider’s look at the places local food lovers are actually talking about, bringing friends to and returning to again and again.
Each edition of the series, published every Friday, will go beyond the menu to explore what makes a restaurant special; from what to order and the dishes worth seeking out to the ambiance, the people behind the restaurant and the unexpected menu items that deserve a little more attention.
The Inside Dish isn’t intended to be a traditional restaurant review. Instead, Savor Productions’ Jessica Benjamin and Rachael Caraluzzi will share the stories, dishes and personalities that make Boulder’s food scene so fun, offering readers recommendations and insights they can use the next time they’re deciding where to grab dinner.
“We’re really thrilled to partner with Travel Boulder on The Inside Dish,” says Jessica Benjamin. “We share a commitment to lifting up Boulder’s dining scene, genuinely telling their stories from the perspective of locals who’ve been here for over 20 years. Together, we hope to give readers an inside look into Boulder’s restaurants and the people who are behind them, so that they may be inspired to discover, revisit and support the places that make Boulder so special.”

A spinoff from Savor’s new cookbook, A Bite of Boulder – Volume 2, the series will spotlight restaurants of all kinds, including places that may not always get the most attention. That could mean a neighborhood favorite, a restaurant tucked into a shopping center, a sleeper-hit appetizer or the dessert you weren’t planning to order—but probably should.
Through the Inside Dish, Savor Productions and Travel Boulder aim to give readers a closer look at the people and places shaping Boulder’s food culture, one restaurant at a time.
