People say social media’s a highlight reel like that’s a bad thing. We think it’s inspiring to make a collection of your favorite places in the world to share with others, and scenic Boulder is like the world’s best, real-life selfie museum.
Whether you’re looking for a stunning backdrop for a meaningful yoga posture, your engagement photos or your senior pictures, or you just want to explore photography where the views are so fantastic you can’t go wrong, here are six of the most Instagrammable spots to visit in Boulder.
1. In front of the Flatirons, of course

“One of my personal favorites from the recent shoot with @carsonclaycalhoun and @aloyoga What do you all think?”
This backdrop goes without saying. Boulder’s unique Flatiron rock formations are quintessential Boulder and truly eye-catching.
2. Atop Green Mountain

“One more from #greenmountain in #bouldercolorado a couple of days ago!”
Not only does the view here go on for eternity, but the hike to get here is fun, too. Snap photos along the way and work up a sweat as you get to know Boulder up high.
3. At the Rayback Collective.

“Just window shopping #bouldersbackyard.”
Grab a drink (beer or coffee) and a meal from one of the rotating food trucks at Boulder’s food truck court, and while you’re there, snap some colorful photos with the Rayback Collective’s mural. No need to venture up the mountain for this view.
4. At the Lyons Farmette

“We’re hiring! We are looking for another flower farmer to join our Field Crew- work hard alongside our Field Manager, develop specific flower farming skills, grow and harvest an abundance of beautiful blooms, and live on-site in a vintage airstream. Flower farming is hard work, but maybe it’s just the job for you! Apply using the link in our bio- farming or agricultural experience required. Check out our website for more information…

The Lyons Farmette & River Bend is a working, organic farm that is so lovely it is also a popular spot for weddings, dinners under the stars and special events. If you’re craving flowers and fields of life in your camera lens, visit the farmette. It’s a private residence, so don’t just pop in. Book an appointment or sign up for one of the farm dinners and make a special event out of it. Oh, and there’s an alpaca.
5. At the Royal Arch

“Some Royal Arch action from this morning’s hike!”
Utah isn’t the only place with dramatic arch rock formations. Boulder’s Royal Arch is worth a visit for the arch, the views and the experience. You can’t beat the views on a sunrise hike.
“One more from the #royalarch yesterday in #bouldercolorado with the #flatirons in the distance! It was great hiking with y’all! @flipstyle54 @unicorns_bacon_ocr @alicia_ocasio @livin4advntr”
Although a sunrise hike provides some jaw-dropping views, the Royal Arch makes gorgeous photos any time of day. Different angles can show off different features of Boulder, like the Flatirons in the background. This angle is a double attraction.

“I captured this shot a couple of weeks ago while hiking to the Royal Arch! I failed my goal of hiking every day for the month of February, but I’m at 98 miles and 35,536’ elevation gain in the first 20 days of the month! I had some important and time pressing jobs pop up that knocked me off of my streak!”
The Royal Arch and the hikes around Boulder make Insta-worthy shots year-round, even in winter. Many of Boulder’s trails remain open year-round.
6. On the CU campus

“A fresh coat of snow makes the world look like it’s covered in glitter ❄️

The University of Colorado campus is truly one of the most beautiful grounds in Boulder, in summer or winter.
