Living in Boulder – Homes

Boulder offers a variety of homes for sale, the big question is: can you afford to buy or do you want to rent? When we moved to Boulder, we rented a home for 16 months. This provided time to learn about the community and the neighborhoods/area that we wanted to live in.

There are many nice neighborhoods such as North Boulder, Downtown, the Hill, East or South Boulder, or the surrounding area. There are condos, townhomes, single-family, estates and farms. If you would like to build a home, you can find land or older homes that can be scrapped.

You have a wide variety in town, the foothills, mountains and east of town. All of these areas are very nice and include great schools, parks, shopping and all the amenities.

Homes are expensive and rents are high. You can easily spend a million for a starter home and pay over $1,400 – $3,500 a month to rent a home or condo.

Here are some of the newest home listings in Boulder and the surrounding area.

Tucked away into its own private oasis of Eastern-inspired luxury, this residence is a lively convergence of intricacy and scale. A towering entryway flanked by a classic office with built-ins sets the stage for the home’s soaring elegance. Formal spaces – such as a dining room with a caterer’s pantry and a great room – seamlessly integrate throughout the main floor, united to a stunning chef’s kitchen and additional living space through neutral colors, hardwoods and outdoor connectivity. A second-floor primary suite flaunts a fireplace, remarkable en-suite bathroom and a meditation room with private balcony access. Perhaps the most striking feature of the interior is the sprawling atrium from which nearly every area of the home radiates. Tropical plantings surround an indoor pool and jacuzzi for a serenity matched only by this home’s outdoor oasis. Multiple terraces reach outward to a lush lot characterized by a koi pond, Japanese tea house and access to Niwot Open Space and Trail.
