Memorial Day Weekend has passed, the weather has turned hot and it’s time to enjoy the pool. You may have heard there is a shortage of lifeguards in Boulder and, because of this, the Spruce pool is temporarily closed for the season. However, help is on the way: A few days ago, I was at Scott Carpenter Pool and a new crew of lifeguards was in training.
The newish Scott Carpenter Pool is amazing, beautiful, family-friendly and a great way to spend the afternoon. Parents and kids will love the winding river, slide and shallow swim area. My favorite part of the pool is the separate lap lanes which are open starting at 6 a.m. during the week and 8 a.m. on the weekends. The lanes are labeled and based on your ability, making it easy to select a lane. What a way to enjoy summer.
