In the middle of summer, the Boulder lifestyle continues to be impressive. Even though the hot days of July and August are upon us, that doesn’t stop locals and visitors from getting out and experiencing Boulder and the surrounding area. Here is how we recently spent our weekend. Early Friday morning, we got in our morning run and spent the evening at the Flagstaff House for an amazing dinner. The view from there is second to none. The next morning, we hiked up Mount Sanitas, by way of the Lion’s Lair Spur trail to enjoy nature and the view. It is important to get out before lunch to beat the heat of the afternoon. Saturday was also the Boulder Creek Fair that had been rescheduled because of COVID-19, providing plenty of vendors, food, music and entrainment. It will return to late May next year. That afternoon, I spent time working in my organic vegetable and flower gardens. Sunday we made the short drive to Estes Park for a hike in Rocky National Park, dinner with friends and made the short drive back to Boulder.
