Shanna in a Dress is a smashing combination of clever lyrics, sweet serenade, and tongue twisting rhymes. She has been performing since her days at the University of Virginia where she attracted a loyal following of fans that loved her feel-good humor, catchy melodies, and entertainingly interactive stage banter. Shanna is a diverse songwriter with a playful setlist containing material ranging from sunny toe-tapping tunes to intensely emotional ballads to humorous ear candy. Her lyrics are laden with witty wordplay and are relatable across all ages as she supports them on guitar, ukulele, and piano.

Shanna released her first EP More Than Just a Hoar in 2012 after a successful Kickstarter campaign. Her style is often compared to Ingrid Michaelson, Colbie Caillat and Jason Mraz. She doesn’t take herself too seriously off-stage or on, and her self-reported style is “happy folk pop with a twist of humor, sarcasm, and occasional tears.” Shanna moved to Boulder in 2014 and is excited to connect and share with the local music scene!
