Event Details

This enchanting, multi-media presentation will expand upon the concurrent exhibit in the McMahon Gallery: “ANNA: A Unique Exhibit Exploring the Life and Art of Anna Pavlova.”

The creator of the collection, Peggy Turchette, will present a dynamic, 50-minute talk with visuals, providing a timeline of Pavlova’s life and her importance as a pioneering woman entrepreneur. Peggy will also talk about her own evolving fascination with Pavlova as she recreated her costumes and couture.

Following Peggy’s talk, a Boulder Ballet ballerina will dance Pavlova’s exquisite signature solo “The Swan” accompanied by harp, cello and violin.
The event will conclude with a 15-minute Q & A session. Peggy will then invite the audience to join her in the McMahon Gallery for a guided tour of the exhibit.
