“I knew Cody Bryan was a star ever since he was a kid” says producer Matt Noveskey. “You can tell every time he hits the stage.” Noveskey, who produced the Cody Bryan Band’s debut record, knows a thing or two about stars — he’s played 60-foot stages with them for 15 years as bassist and songwriter for Blue October.
Since entering the scene in 2013, the Cody Bryan Band has drawn a wealth of praise from fans and critics alike for their fresh take on today’s country music. But don’t take anybody else’s word for it; listen to Bryan’s debut record Wreck Me and hear the promise for yourself.
“Wreck Me” starts off the record with driving kick drum and chugging guitars before being joined by Bryan’s syrupy Texas drawl and swirling organs, culminating in a radio-ready chorus —and the band hasn’t looked back since.
Since 2013 Cody Bryan Band has released two additional studio albums; “Small Town Noise” (2015) and “Here” (2015) . These releases garnered four “Top 40” (Texas Regional Radio) singles, a devoted fan base, and many miles of “Texas Highway”.
There’s a cohesiveness to the band’s performances in (and out) of the studio — that chemistry is no coincidence. “We’ve been best friends and playing music together for years now,” says Bryan. “Those guys are lifers,” adds Noveskey.
The band is currently working on new music for their fourth album, and continues to pound the highway, making new friends every step of the way. Cody Bryan Band is here to stay! Cheers to 2019 and beyond.
