Nosilla Dance Project: U N R A V E L L E D

Have you ever felt like your life was unravelling? Held by a threadbare rope? But there was that someone, who was holding the other end, ready to reel you in? When two people are “attached at the hip” it is mutual; a best friend, a partner, a twin, someone you wish to be with night and day. Other times attachment is out of codependency, or fear of letting go or being on one’s own.
Nosilla Dance Project, led by Artistic Director and Choreographer, Alli Jones has created the poignant show
“U N R A V E L L E D” that touches upon friendship, love, and that umbilical cord that we have all in one way or another, chosen, or not chosen, to be severed. Using ropes and movement we bind dancers together to see what is possible, and test the limits of attachment. Putting restraints on the dancers pushes the boundaries of choreography into new areas not previously imagined.
