Event Details

Marc Emerson Townes of Kind Hearted Strangers:

Marc Townes is the frontman & primary songwriter of the Boulder-based Americana/rock band Kind Hearted Strangers. His “vibrant, engaging songwriting” is both a product of his Virginia upbringing in the world of traditional folk music, and years spent blazing his own trail through the nightlife and early sunrises. His music “is a strong representation of how Townes views songwriting as a whole: an act dependent on personal experience and a life well occupied.” – Behind the Scene Press, 2017

Hunter Stone:

With his gritty, raw voice and resonator guitar, Hunter Stone has spent the last years crafting his own style of folk-blues. His songwriting echoes the simple melodic beauty of folk music of the past and his lyrical content paints pictures of the world we see around us. “(Stone) has the singer-songwriter vibe when things get soft, but when his smoky voice raises, it echoes in your heartstrings with some major force,” said Hannah Oreskovich, of BolderBeat.com. Stone kicks things up with the stomp of a foot drum and the bent notes of a pinky slide, bringing his lyrics to life with the emotional honesty of his voice.

Ariella Hubbard:

Ariella is a Boulder-based singer-songwriter composing acoustic-folk with uplifting and thought-provoking lyrics. Growing up in Southern Colorado and Oregon, Nature has played a huge role in her inspiration for music. She has been playing guitar and composing her own music for fifteen years, performing and touring in different parts of the world from the United States, Mexico, Costa Rica, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan. Currently a Wilderness Therapy Master’s student in Boulder, Ariella wants to get back out there and share her music with others and become familiar with the local music scene.
