A half-day gathering with an open forum and film screenings.

Join us for a half-day event that puts independent documentary filmmakers at the center of an open forum to discuss the obstacles in the industry — especially for artists from marginalized communities — and brainstorm accessible, sustainable solutions.

LA filmmakers and Sundance Film Festival alumni Tad Nakamura and Eugene Yi join Colorado filmmakers Dewi Sungai Marquis-Houston and Jason Houston in starting the discussion and will show some of their works throughout the program.

You will see special screening of “Third Act” in partnership with Sundance Film Festival in addition to bonus clips from the new HBO film “The A-List: 15 Stories from Asian and Pacific Diasporas” and the Colorado short “My Name is Not Amy”.

This program is presented by Mountain Media Arts Collective and Denver Film with additional support from Colorado Asian Pacific United.
