Dominick Antonelli @ The Laughing Goat

My name is Dominick Antonelli. I am 26 years old from Pittsburgh, Pa. The music that chooses to come through me has been heavily encouraged by experimentation, improvisation and free form writing. I sit down and start writing about a specific subject in mind or just allow the writing to write itself. By the end, so many ideas have come out and there are messages I choose to portray that I feel are important in my life. Keys and concepts that I remind myself of especially in times when I feel lost, and to whom ever resonates with what the lyrical content has to offer. Most of my songs are like poems and heart felt statements mixed with music. The lyrics have been inspired from traveling around the U.S., Costa Rica, and Thailand, meeting so many walks of life and having extremely intense connections with people, myself and the land. I am on a journey of being the best version of myself, learning/sharing gifts and tools to experience new depths of potential in what it means to be human. I also share instrumental music which is heavily inspired by the surroundings, mental and emotional states that are present when I start playing. It seems like these songs develop on their own, and by the end I am usually surprised at how it all came together. It’s a magical feeling to write music that I truly enjoy playing and sharing.
