Collapsing Stars @ The Laughing Goat

Formed in 2008 as a rhythm section for a local hip hop duo, Collapsing Stars (formerly Local Rhythm) has since evolved into its own unique entity. Addictive hooks, soulful melodies & screaming guitar solos inspire comparisons to Ben Harper, RHCP, Gary Clark Jr, The Black Keys & Sublime. The band has toured extensively over the past few years, performing at festivals, coffeehouses & taprooms across the country, notably showcasing at The Hotel Cafe in Los Angeles, CA & playing for a crowd of over 100,000 people at Red Bull Crashed Ice in their hometown of St. Paul, MN. After releasing five EP’s, the band is currently putting the finishing touches on its first full length album titled ‘2012,’ scheduled to be released in December 2016. After the release of the album, the band plans to embark on an acoustic tour of the Midwest & will then spend portions of 2017 traveling countrywide in support of the recording as well.
