Blues Night! Deborah Stafford & The State of Affairs and Peaches & The Rhythm Train @ Dickens Opera House

Join us March 6th for another amazing Blues Night! Sharing the stage with Deborah & The State of Affairs this time will be the fabulous Peaches Embry with her band Peaches & The Rhythm Train.

Peaches Embry was born to sing. She started out singing Gospel and sitting in with her father’s Jazz Band. Nowadays, she thrills audiences singing Blues and R&B with her own band, Peaches & The Rhythm Train and Ft. Collins party band, Elmer Funk, as well as sitting in with other great bands.

She has shared the stage with greats like Sammy Mayfield and Big Bill Morganfield and was “schooled” by the likes of Irma Thomas, Gatemouth Brown and Clifton Chenier, Jr. Believe us, her voice is the real deal! Peaches and her great band will be getting the party started for you!

But that’s just the first course…

Deborah Stafford and her award-winning Blues band, The State of Affairs also bring the blues with their own unique funky style. Made for dancing, these talented musicians lay it down and pick it back up!

They were honored to represent the Mile High Blues society at the International Blues Challenge in Memphis this last year. Their CD “Blused and Confused” got a nod from MHBS and The Blues Foundation for best self-produced CD and is receiving radio airplay all over the state of Colorado.

They were also nominated for 3 Colorado Blues Society Member’s Choice awards including favorite band last year and were honored to be able to open for BUDDY GUY last September!

Deborah’s smoldering vocals, their wailing sax, hot guitar licks and amazing rhythm section take this band a step above the rest.
