A Texas-native, Austen Carroll Grafa learned to play guitar and write emotional brazen songs while he was grounded. 15 years later, Austen lives in Denver, CO and fronts the alt-country band Grayson County Burn Ban when he is not out fly-fishing or playing solo shows around town. With a songwriting style comparable to Robert Earl Keen and John Prine, his lyricism and live performance are why Denver’s Westword Magazine claim that “Austen might be the only songwriter fun-loving and sincere enough to spin something so immediately antagonistic into a folky PSA.
