Boulder knows art.

Boulderites are well-traveled, highly educated and super artsy. In fact, the National Endowment of the Arts ranked Boulder the third in the country for working artists per capita.

Boulder is an important arts hub in Colorado. Art is everywhere here: on the streets, in more than 30 art galleries, in the world-famous Colorado Music Festival, Boulder International Film Festival, and annual Colorado Shakespeare Festival. The Boulder Philharmonic and Boulder Public Library are also must-sees.

That’s barely the beginning.

Between the Dairy Arts Center and Boulder Museum for Contemporary Art alone, you can find creative (and often surprising) entertainment any day of the week. Not to mention outdoor movies downtown during the summer, one of the world’s most respected aerial dance schools, and the simple amusement of walking down the Pearl Street Mall past the ubiquitous stream of musical buskers.

Here’s a glimpse into Boulder’s arts and culture.
