Anderson Farms
No October is really complete without a trip to Anderson Farms in Erie — it’s basically a fall wonderland.
Spend the entire day here as a family, wandering through the corn maze, zipping down the combine slide, playing with the sand diggers and meeting all the cute farm animals. Before you leave, head to the pumpkin patch to pick out the perfect orange pumpkin for carving into a jack-o-lantern when you get home.
If you’re looking for a little spooky fun, consider visiting the farm after dark for Terror in the Corn. This “Mile of Mayhem” haunted house experience is sure to get your blood racing. Heads up that this attraction is meant for kids age 10 and up.

Cottonwood Farm
This family farm in Lafayette offers the quintessential fall experience, complete with a corn maze, a pumpkin patch, a straw bale maze, hay rides, farm animals and tractors and farm equipment.
If you’re hoping to get even more in the festive October spirit, wander through the farm’s fall market, where you can buy pumpkins, winter squash and decorative fall items like corn bundles, straw bales and gourds.

Miller Farms
Head out east to Platteville and spend a day in the sun at Miller Farms. They go all out for autumn fun by offering a corn maze, hayrides through their 180 acres of fields, a roadside veggie stand and an “Antique Alley” filled with treasures. You can even pick your own vegetables if you choose.
While you’re here, have a bite to eat in the picnic area and enjoy delicious treats, snacks and drinks.
There’s also a kids’ play area, antique tractors and peddle tractors, a hay pyramid and a giant “Croc-pit,” aka a giant pile of cut-up Crocs to play around in.

Mazotti Farms
On Saturdays and Sunday in October, Mazotti Farms in Hudson welcomes families for a variety of fall activities. Snap cute photos in the pumpkin patch (while also picking out the perfect one to take home!), try to make your way through the corn maze, pet the cute donkeys in the petting zoo and play agriculture-themed games.

Rock Creek Farm
Usher in fall with a trip to Rock Creek Farm in Broomfield. Here, you’ll find a farm stand with pumpkins and gourds available for purchase, farm animals, tractors, a hay bale maze and a kids’ area.
You’ll be able to snack on tasty baked goods (like luscious pumpkin bread!) and pick up some fall decorations to make your home more festive.

Chatfield Farms
No plans this weekend? Head down to Chatfield Farms, one of the Denver Botanic Gardens’ locations. The farm in Littleton is hosting its beloved annual pumpkin festival Oct. 6-8.
Your price of admission includes a 10-acre pumpkin patch, live music, kids’ activities and a corn maze. On top of that, see the antique tractor exhibit from Front Range Antique Power Association, take a hayride, snap some cute pictures in the photo booths and play carnival games. You can even get your face painted.
While you’re there, also be sure to wander through the local artisan booths and hit up one of the food trucks that will be on site. (Mom and Dad can also enjoy beer and hard cider!)

Bartels Farm
This family farm has been going strong for more than a century—118 years to be exact—so they’ve really got this whole fall thing figured out. Located in northern Fort Collins, the farm offers a pick-your-own vegetable garden and a pumpkin patch. Also enjoy a corn maze and hay rides together as a family.
